What will you do?
Our client is a hospital in Cape Town. This hospital falls under the municipality of Cape Town and is therefore called a public hospital in South Africa. Approximately 3000 people work in the hospital including all departments including the HR department. This is located in one of “outbuildings” that are attached to the hospital.
Within this function of HR trainee you will focus on projects that are currently playing or that are important. A major aspect is the competition they experience with, for example, private hospitals that can offer more money for the same functions. Many highly skilled South Africans also go abroad to work in the healthcare sector.
The hospital still has a lot to do in the area of digitization to keep up with private hospitals and other healthcare institutions. Other aspects that the HR department deals with are planning / recruitment for different departments, strategies around absence or, for example, stimulating and training leadership skills among managers. In short, plenty to do!
